Since 2020.
From our shore to yours.

Nohona began in 2020 with a friendship built on two things we love most: dogs and the ocean.

Taylor, from Australia, and Virginia, based on Oʻahu’s North Shore, met through rescue dogs after Virginia was referred to Taylor for training support with her foster dog. At the time, Taylor’s Charity the Pink Paw Program was working alongside local rescue organisations in Hawaiʻi offering dog training and education. What began through a shared passion for helping dogs quickly became a lasting friendship built on common values, a love of the ocean and a life lived outdoors.

Together, we created Nohona to bring that lifestyle to life.

Inspired by the shores of Australia and Hawaiʻi, our collections are designed for the everyday- from slow mornings by the coast to afternoons in the surf, weekends exploring, and the moments in between. Every design is created exclusively for Nohona, with artwork developed in Hawaiʻi alongside local designers, making each collection uniquely ours.

We believe great products should feel effortless to wear, stand up to real life, and become pieces you reach for time and time again. That’s why we focus on thoughtful design, quality materials and timeless styles made to be lived in.

Dogs have always been part of our story.

Living alongside surf dogs, beach walks and a life centred around the ocean has shaped the way we design for them too. Our Nohona Pets collection is built with the same care, quality and thoughtful design as every piece we create for people- because to us, dogs aren’t an accessory.

They’re family.

Whether it’s apparel for everyday life or gear designed to handle sand, salt water and the outdoors, our goal is simple: create products that work beautifully, last well and feel right at home by the ocean.

As Nohona continues to grow, so does our commitment to supporting rescue dogs across Hawaiʻi and Australia, continuing the work that first brought us together.
